Community Outreach

Music Students' Service League (MSSL)

The Music Students’ Service League (MSSL) is a community service group designed to give students in grades K - 12 opportunities to do community service through music. MTAC awards our students with community service credit for their time, efforts and talents. These awards in turn, help students to fulfill the graduation requirements of their schools and other service organizations. Students share their gift of music with the community by giving recitals in senior citizens' retirement homes, helping younger students with their music studies and helping at festivals and other MTAC functions.

Donation Drives

Donation Drives are a community outreach to benefit Jamison Center, the only emergency children’s shelter in Kern County. Donation Drives are held twice a year - at the December Recital and at Certificate of Merit.
