Fall “Jazz/Pop” Festival

In October students perform in a festival in front of a panel of judges and an audience. Participating students will receive written evaluations from the judges and a certificate. Some students will be selected as “Judges Choice” and will receive a trophy and be eligible to perform in the Branch Honors Recital.

Winter “Women Composers” Festival

Students will perform music of the designated era or genre in front of a panel of judges and an audience. Students will receive written evaluations from the judges and a certificate. Selected students will receive trophies and be invited to perform in the Branch Honors Recital.

Baroque Festival

Students perform music of J.S. Bach or other Baroque composers in front of a panel of judges and an audience.  Applications must be completed online through the Southern California Junior Bach Festival website (scjbf.org) no later than the due date listed on the branch calendar. Top students may continue to the Branch Honors Recital, the Central Valley Regional Bach Festival Recital held in January in Fresno, and/or the Southern California Regional Junior Bach Festival Recital in Ventura.
